Revenue Cycle Manager

This is a Full-time position in Farmingdale, NY posted July 30, 2021.

Major Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assisting with strategic development of the billing department while effectively managing day to day operations.

Strategic development will include: process mapping and implementation of department strategies for efficient cash collections; proactive management of third party vendors including payors; and providing continuous review and guidance on changing reimbursements, coverage and billing requirements.

Specific Duties:

1.

Work with Revenue Cycle Director to develop processes and procedures for efficient cash collection that remain current with regulatory guidelines.

2.

Assist in management of day to day operations including medical coding, claims submissions, accounts receivable follow-up and payment posting.

3.

Manage all Accounts Receivables by Financial Class, including maintaining Accounts Receivable Aging, and tracking and measuring monthly results.

4.

Manage and implement continuous improvement processes to increase total cash deposits and reduce Accounts Receivable days outstanding.

5.

Ensure consistent quality of the billing services by distributing and assigning duties and responsibilities to Supervisors ensuring skill levels are appropriate to the assigned tasks and monitoring department’s productivity.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent in education and experience including Healthcare Administration, or related field

Experience:Minimum of five (5) years Medical Insurance/Healthcare Billing and Collections experience in a Medical Practice or Health System, with a deep understanding of Medical Billing Rules and Regulations in an electronic environment.

Minimum of five (5) years experience.
