Porfolio Manager Assistant

This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted December 21, 2021.

Position Description:
Reporting to the Managing Partners of the Company, the junior portfolio manager/assistant is responsible for managing small portfolios, providing administrative support to clients and generating investment ideas as well as market analysis.

This is an entry level position.

Base Salary of 45,000 plus Bonus

Major Responsibilities:
Provide daily general administrative support to the senior portfolio manager
Prepare and maintain business policy documentation
Review current portfolio holdings
Maintaining and analyzing performance and risk measures
Provide clients with banking services
Process trades in stocks, bonds and currencies
Keep daily record of all trades
Assist with and take on special projects
Work directly with key customers for admin support
Daily Portfolio management – investing cash flows, rebalancing, and exposure management across a number of portfolios
Tactical views and implementation across a range of asset classes and securities
Support senior portfolio managers in client interaction both in maintaining and driving new business
Participate in enhancing and developing tactical strategies
Required Skills / Knowledge:
Excellent customer service orientation and exemplary communication skills – both verbally and written; ability to present information in a clear concise manner
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently yet also have strong team orientation
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills are essential
Strong attention to detail
Strong interest in capital markets, portfolio management, tactical experience
Ability to work collaboratively as well as with a great deal of autonomy
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, and Bloomberg (optional)
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Knowledge of investments and technical analysis are a requirement
Experience Needed:
Series 7 Registered Representative License
1-2 years of investment experience preferred
Educational Background Required:
 Bachelor degree or higher
