Operations Manager

We are looking for a very experienced Warehouse/Logistics Manager to manage a large eCommerce retailer’s orders (Walmart, Amazon, etc.).

Responsibilities

– Manage 15+ Employees to ensure they are working efficiently

– Knowledge of how to use Amazon Seller Central a plus

– Must be proficient in using warehouse management software

– Experience working for a E-commerce business

– Communicating with UPS and USPS for pick-ups/drop-offs as well as LTL and FTL

Spanish & English speaking is preferred since most of the workers are Spanish speaking.

Experience with starting up a new distribution facility

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

·         Oversee team of Pullers, Packers, QC, Receiving. and Shipping Associates, as well as assembly and line leads

·         Responsible for the formation, and oversight of a safety committee

·         Oversight of the physical warehouse space from a cleanliness and organizational standpoint

·         Ensure that teams are on time, as well as wearing associate vests to designate their department and personal name

·         Coordinate with department heads to identify metric goals, report statistics to them on a daily basis.

·         Train all new staff on protocols of the company. Create an onboarding system for new trainees to shadow, and learn all nuances of the company and the operation.

·         Manage inventory and assist the inventory control department on any audits as they take place.

·         Ensure the equipment is properly kept and upheld to standards. Ensure timely inspections on equipment throughout the facility- to include dock doors as well.

·         Drive proper signage, labeling, and organization of the facility.

·         Work with Human Resources department on employee matters to include payroll/timekeeping, hiring, disciplinary action, terminations, and employee benefits.

·         Make sure that every pallet is properly located and everything in the facility is in its rightful place.

·         Experience with KPI and process improvements

 

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

 

·         Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily

·         A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required

·         Must have a valid Driver’s License

·         Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified required

·         Ability to read, write and speak English

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals

·         Ability to perform general building maintenance

·         Basic computer skills, ability to operate a Windows-based computer and data entry

·         Good listening and verbal communication skills to include the ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Ability to manage, delegate to, and lead employees to ensure ultimate performance levels

·         Ability to work well with others and independently

·         The ability make quick decisions based on sound business logic

·         Ability to work with Corporate office to achieve mutual goals

·         Ability to remain flexible and open minded
