Help Desk Supervisor

The Sr Desktop Support will be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT network, servers and security systems. The administrator is also responsible for investigating and diagnosing network problems, monitoring IT alerting, making recommendations for improving the company’s global IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions. On a day to day basis, the role might be setting up new users and managing backup, security and maintaining clear updated documentation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Basic setup and Management of all firewalls, servers and applications in an Active Directory and Windows Server virtual environment (Work includes basic management of VMWare ESX Servers with iLO, SQL Server, Terminal Server, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veeam backup and replication and 2-3 Cloud Servers for now Manage and support Office 365 suite in the Cloud including Exchange, One Drive, Sharepoint Manage and support Zoom Voice and Conferencing as well as Microsoft Teams Meetings Provide minor support for the company’s commercial website. Support global users via Jira Helpdesk ticketing system Provide support to on-site and remote corporate users. Support for iPhone, iPads, Android, Windows Phone, MacBook, NVR’s, Ring Cameras, Sonos, Ubiquiti, Google Wifi and similar Basic setup and management of Cisco ASA and Peplink Firewalls, HP Pro-curve Switches. Setup and management of on site and remote HP printers, Zebra Label Printers, Brother Address label printers. Management of all IT projects including implementing Office 365 multifactor auth, involvement with Dynamics NAV ERP implementation Responsible for maintaining in-house and remote client’s ISP connectivity to the WAN (NY, NJ, CH, LA, UK, TX, FR), Site to Site VPN, and Client VPN Basic Management of SQL Server for Microsoft Dynamics NAV user setups, permissions, and assist management with reporting needs. Maintain companywide financial budget, increase efficiency while cutting cost for all hardware, software, and consulting contracts in a sensible fashion. Maintain clear updated documentation SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 3-5 years of experience in an IT role Strong Troubleshooting skills required especially while working with remote sites Strong organizational skills Bachelor’s degree required
