H9 Senior Staffing Specialist

Reports To: AVP- Talent and Change Management

Internal Closing Date: 6/9/2021


  • A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
  • Minimum of 5 years recruiting and general human resources experience required.
  • Ability to influence and drive results in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to use innovative techniques to attract and recruit diverse talent
  • Knowledge of HR practices/policies/systems and related laws/ regulations/reporting requirements
  • Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Partner with hiring managers, HR Business partners and key stakeholders to define and execute recruitment strategies for all non-executive roles.
  • Own the full recruitment life cycle for both internal and external recruitment, operating as the subject matter expert for job postings, candidate selection, offers and onboarding.
  • Source passive and active candidates leveraging innovative sourcing techniques to find top talent presenting Teachers value proposition.
  • Responsible for ensuring that key governance/control processes and policies are managed throughout the recruitment life cycle and the applicant tracking/HRIS system is maintained and kept updated.
  • Build good relationships with leaders, acting as a trusted partner for all recruitment related activities.
  • Proactively provide status updates on and results to leadership and HR partners.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within HR
  • Utilize search engines, career sites, recruiting events and attend local colleges/job fairs to attract candidates.
  • Provide recruiting data and statistics weekly and as needed for vendors.
