Deliver innovative, value-added packaging solutions to the world while making it a better place for all. Responsibilities: Process design and improvement for the various production and support departments. This would include activities such as change over time improvement, lead-time reduction, waste analysis and reduction, and production methods analysis and improvement. Process capability analysis and control for the production departments. Through the development of process capability measures and statistical process control, the Quality Packaging Engineer will help establish a more stable production process with better quality and more consistent quality to achieve Operational Excellence objectives. Analyze and complete investigations to non-conformances and identify failure modes and determine root causes when possible. Determine quality improvement methods relevant to manufacturing processes and Identify non conformances trends to develop, administer technical/six sigma investigation and corrective action programs to resolve recurring quality problems. Provide support to LEAN manufacturing culture operations to ensure products are manufactured to meet quality, reliability, and cost requirements. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. Continuous improvement team participation and leadership for all areas of the plant. This role will include the participation, facilitation, and/or leading of continuous improvement teams in both the production and support areas of the plant.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years related professional experience. Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.  Meaningful experience with GFSI, SQF, ISO, or other related audit programs. Prior experience utilizing Quality Engineering methods and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Strong understanding and demonstrated application of six sigma tools and methodologies within a manufacturing environment.  Demonstrated ability in taking ownership and initiative of responsibilities and executing them to meet business needs and deliverables. Ability to build key relationships with team members across the organization and develop an informal network of internal consultants. Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to build relationships and effectively communicate with team members company wide. Highly proficient competency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize work, while maintaining attention to detail is critical. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions to correct.  A drive to overcome challenges and deliver continuous improvement with a positive attitude.
