Project Specialist

*Overview* Older Adults Technology Services from AARP (OATS) advocates for technology inclusion for the 50-plus, providing digital literacy training and programming to older adults.

With nearly two decades of experience and insights on how older people interact with technology as well as its flagship programs like Senior Planet, OATS uses its resources to create world-class programs that form the basis for systems change.

The Aging Connected Senior Project Specialist will play a critical role on a small team of approximately four core staff members, whose shared primary goal is to drive getting one million additional seniors online.

The position will be responsible for structuring, strategizing, and executing the Aging Connected work plan, ensuring that this multi-faceted project is successfully implemented on-time and on budget.

Major work streams include: Developing a resource-rich platform to serve as the virtual hub for Aging Connected with offline methods of access; Multi-sector coalition-building and stakeholder relationship management; Fundraising, grant reporting and communications support.

The position would drive the development and management of the tools and other deliverables required to activate these work streams.

*Responsibilities* * The planning, delivery, and management of a range of tasks and deliverables required to successfully launch and run Aging Connected program, from timelines and knowledge management trackers to PowerPoint presentations and data analysis * Engagement of newly connected older adults and Aging Connected partners, using a collective impact model * Track project milestones and goals in real-time * Prepare and manage budget documents * Support development (fundraising) activities being led by the director of Aging Connected * Prepare and present project updates to organization leadership and external stakeholders * Act as a representative of organization to other organizations, funders, clients, and vendors *Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred * 5+ years managing projects or programs * Knowledge of project management discipline, best practices, and tools * Experience in working in support of older adults and social change preferred * Digital inclusion experience preferred * Corporate social responsibility or other private sector experience preferred *Compensation and Benefits* AARP offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a 401(k); 100% company-funded pension plan; health, dental, and vision plans; life insurance; paid time off to include company and individual holidays, vacation, sick, caregiving, and parental leave; performance-based and peer-based recognition; tuition reimbursement; among others.
