Coordinator-Brady Residence

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center

This is a Full-time position in Jamaica, NY posted June 11, 2021.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:r

  • Assist Program Director in the coordination and daily operation of program.r
  • Providing ongoing Protective oversight to the individuals living in the residence.r
  • Reporting all suspected instances of abuse/neglect to supervisor immediately.r
  • Twenty-Four hour accessibility through beeper and/or telephone.r
  • Operationally ensures the safety and welfare of persons residing in IRA.r
  • Adhering to agency quality standards of operation.r
  • Responsible for the need of identification, purchase, inventory, and maintenance of all clothing items for the client population. r
  • To assist in developing individualized service plans along with the Coordinator, helping the resident achieve valued outcomes.r
  • To supervise and review the appropriate documentation of goals, data sheets, medication administration, recreational activities, incidents, assignments sheets, and all other pertinent info. r
  • Participation is required at all ISP meetings and OMRDD surveys.r
  • When necessary shall perform direct care duties, including ADL and AMAP duties.r
  • To provide active, supportive supervision, and effective training to all staff to maximize their job performance, job satisfaction and personal growth.r
  • Completing Staff performance evaluations.r
  • To ensure that the agency standards of maintenance and cleanliness are met at all times.r
  • To ensure that the appropriate standards of personal hygiene, physical appearance, and appropriate clothing for all individuals are met.r
  • To create and maintain an in-house atmosphere which will maximize individual receptiveness to, and participation in, agency programmatic services.r
  • To supervise food inventory, storage, and preparation so as to ensure compliance with dietary recommendations and regulations in consultation with the physician and dietician.r
  • To schedule and conduct all necessary staff meetings, to ensure attendance of appropriate staff at all such meetings. r
  • To participate in the process of staff selection/termination according to agency policy.r
  • To serve as a liaison between the residential staff and the program director.r
  • To be well versed in all emergency and crisis proceduresr
  • To identify in-service training needs and to then coordinate the delivery of the meaningful training sessions for staff.r
  • To engender a spirit of cooperation and cohesion within the residence.r
  • Performs other and/ or unrelated duties assigned, in times of emergencies, or when necessary.r

r Qualifications:r

  • H.S. Diploma Required/B.A. Degree in Human Services or 5 years in management DD Servicesr
  • Good Written and Communication Skillsr
  • Valid NYS Driveru2019s Licenser
