The Marketing Coordinator will create and execute marketing campaigns, run the Putnam imprint social media channels, nurture relationships with influencers in the Bookstagram community, conceptualize and run digital advertising campaigns, and assist the Senior Marketing Manager.The ideal candidate will have prior experience with title marketing and with social media.The Role:Strategizes and creates original content for the Putnam social media channels, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTokLiases with Bookstagram influencers to organize title specific outreach for the department, and networks with up-and-coming accounts to keep our outreach fresh and targetedCreates, communicates, and implements marketing campaigns for 4-5 titles per season, while utilizing the insights and analytics available to inform their strategyCoordinates digital advertising campaigns by strategizing targeting and copy and collaborating with an internal design department on creative concepts and directionCreates data reports to monitor sales and our competitive position in the marketplaceWorks with an external developer to keep our longtime franchise author websites updatedProvides general administrative and title marketing support to the Senior Marketing ManagerThe Essentials:Around 2 years of experience in publishing a strong history of championing titles through trade book marketing or publicity is preferredProven project management experiencePassion for, and knowledge of, the current social media landscape and content creationProactive and capable of taking ownership of projects as well as working collaboratively with a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and excellent attention to detailThe ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize effectivelyThe ability to work as part of a collaborative team Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media platformsFull-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits program.
