Make a bigger difference
Hebrew Speaking Social Worker for Jewish Community (Licensed)
At The Jewish Board, we don’t just make a difference – we make a bigger difference as we serve 45,000 New Yorkers every year. Join our dedicated team that’s been helping communities across New York City for almost 150 years and see just how big of a difference you can make.
How you can make a bigger difference:
Jewish Community Services (JCS) provides an array of services to help New York City’s Jewish community address challenging problems, such as a life-threatening medical condition, misuse of alcohol and other substances, family caregiving, loss and bereavement. Services are provided to individuals, groups, communities and synagogues. JCS provides concrete assistance, information and referral, short-term case management and supportive counseling, spiritual care, consultation services, education and workshops, crisis helpline for substance abuse and self-help recovery services.
In responding to the impact of the war in Israel and the rise of anti-Semitism in NYC, the Hebrew-speaking social worker is responsible for providing clinical case management, crisis intervention, and short-term individual and group psych educational support from a trauma-focused lens. These services will be provided to Jewish communal institutions and to individuals/families across NYC.
