Senior Analog Circuit Design Engineer


This is a Contract position in Walton, NY posted July 26, 2021.

Job Description Seeking an experienced analog circuit designer capable of designing analog or mixed-signal blocks for mobile device SoC.

Ideal candidate should have strong background knowledge of following areas: FinFET transistor operation and device dynamics, basic analog function blocks (op-amps, band-gap and ADC/DAC), complex AC/DC analysis, feedback loop theory, digital standard cells (flip-flops, latches, level shifters and logic cells), low-power design techniques.

The job scope for this position includes: 1) Define mixed-signal design architecture and design analog and/or digital blocks and document the specs.

2) Perform transistor-level design feasibility and performance analysis and provide improvement based on analysis result.

3) Model mixed-signal system-level behavior in order to validate analog circuit functionality 5) Drive layout reviews and provides guidance for layout engineer to achieve best circuit performance 5) Perform T/O quality design verification including LEC, IR-drop, and timing analysis, work with ESD team to ensure design meets company’s quality requirements.

6) Provide feasible analog design test plan suitable for mass production 7) Coordinate with top-level BE/FE integrator to prepare required design model for integration Requirement MS or PhD degree in Computer Engineering /Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.

5yr analog/mixed-signal design experience Working knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso, Custom Compiler, Spectre, AMS, Matlab, Simulink and other circuit design simulation or modeling tools.

Strong script programming skill in Tcl, Perl, or Python scripting languages is required, experience on SKILL and shell script is a plus.

Skills and knowledge of transforming silicon measurements to performance/spec compliance validation
