Job Description: Valensa is currently seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Supervisor to serve as a key contributor in the Company’s Quality Assurance department, based in Eustis, Florida.

The qualified individual will execute and continually improve the Valensa Quality and Food Safety programs.

In addition, as the lead for the preventive control initiatives for the plant’s GMP and food safety commitment, the QA Supervisor will be the company’s designated Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point program manager.

· Responsible for the ongoing execution and implementation of the Company’s Quality Management Program, including internal audits and reviews.

· Manage plant HACCP food safety program.

· Investigate customer complaints to determine root cause and corrective action.

· Participate in external audits from clients and regulatory agencies, and maintain food certifications.

· Maintain pest control, food safety and sanitation programs in a manufacturing environment
· Train or manage training of all employees on GMP, HACCP, Sanitation, and Food Defense annually and upon hire
· Responsible for document control for all procedures and forms.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline
· Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Quality Systems in a manufacturing environment.

· Knowledgeable about Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety and sanitation controls and application to manufacturing environment
· Experience with good documentation practices and developing Standard Operating Procedures
· Ability to oversee HACCP program; possess HACCP training certification a plus
· Knowledgeable about preventive controls for food safety; Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PQCI) certification a plus
