Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op with Software Focus  –   Spring through Fall 2022


We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to support the manufacturing engineering function in the production of oscilloscopes, probes, and cables. In this position you will work with cross-functional teams to support company, team, and individual objectives.

We are looking for a Software focused student with a genuine interest in manufacturing engineering and operations management. This job is very hands on and requires frequent prioritization, quick decision-making, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.


  • Develop C# .NET applications for automated test equipment (ATE’s) with below requirements:
    • Easy to use interface for operators
    • SQL Database driven data collection for reporting and analysis
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Program microcontrollers using C or other language


  • Current enrollment towards a 4-year Computer Science, Computer Engineering degree
  • Experience with C# programming language
  • Very strong object-oriented design skills
  • Familiarity with Relational Databases and SQL
  • Strong skills in creating software for data analysis and visualization
  • Robust design, implementation, and debugging capabilities
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Team Player, good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Things that are a plus and will help you stand out.
    • Hands-on experience developing Windows applications in Visual Studio.
    • Familiarity with Visual Basic, Python, C/C++
    • Experience and taste for designing and implementing user interfaces (UI/UX)
    • Experience with NI-VISA/NI-488.2 instrument drivers and control
    • Familiarity working with Arduino applications.
    • Ability to tailor communication (both written and verbal) to your audience.
    • Track record of leadership positions and self-motivation.
