We are looking to add to its Data & Analytics team in Data Science.

Our Data Science team is responsible for managing the development and optimization of advanced analytics on a global scale across the company.

In this role, you will enjoy working with one of the richest financial data sets in the world, cutting edge technology, and the ability to see your insights turned into real products on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience building and managing analytics teams, will have worked with large data stores, and will have experience building software.

Candidates should be curious, focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, progression, and user engagement of a product.

The Head of the Data Science team is responsible for building a world-class data science structure.

He or she will be directly responsible for ensuring proper goaling, testing, and forecasting and for developing insights that identify the biggest opportunities for our community.

The Head of the Data Science team is responsible for supporting the broader data organization within the firm.

In addition, this person is expected to serve as a leader within the data team, cutting beyond functional lines to make sure the entire organization is healthy and has capacity to scale.

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage all aspects of designing, building, testing and delivering new data science services and advanced analytics globally

· Maintain, improve and deliver innovations to the existing Data products used

· Manage the Data Science team globally

· Develop Goal Metrics and Evaluate Product Team Performance

· Investigate Ad Hoc Issues and Debugging Regressions

· Develop Testing Plans and Validate Statistically Accurate Results

· Analyze Data Trends to Identify Opportunities

· Ensure that the company’s data analytics are reliable and rigorous across all of our products

· Partner with Data Engineering to ensure the right metrics are created and validate accuracy

· Develop new metrics with accuracy and stability

· Validate metric accuracy for internal and external reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

· Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning or Economics) or equivalent work experience

· 7+ years of experience working in data science at a financial, technology or media firm

· Vast experience and expertise with probability and statistics, inclusive of machine learning, experimental design, and optimization

· Experience in Financial Markets, preferably Fixed Income

· Highly skilled in scripting languages and have rapid prototyping skills, like SQL, Python, Perl, Java, among others

· 5+ years of experience in managing other team members in a formal or informal capacity

· Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance

· Team builder, results oriented, and proactive

Preferred Qualifications:

· Understanding of statistical analysis, experience with packages, such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.

· Experience with large data sets and distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)

· Quantitative analysis experience at a technology company, consulting, investment banking, or product management
