Perform all assembly operations necessary to assemble assigned parts in accordance to provided specifications and processes.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Prepare sub-assemblies by installing bearings, spacers, and keys.* Prepare gear housings to fit sub-assemblies and record the measurements.* Test the gear box after completion for vibration and noise.* Assemble the motor to the gear box. Check the specifications of the motor to match the print.* Inspect shaft and blades dimensions according to the prints.* Handle other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES* Working knowledge of or the ability to learn to use a micrometer, depth micrometer, dial indicators and other precision measuring instruments.* Mechanical aptitude.* The ability to:* Perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.* Interpret basic manufacturing mechanical blueprints.* Work in a team environment.* Basic PC skills.* 5S area daily.* Communicate to peers.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* A high school diploma or equivalent is required.* 2+ years’ experience in an assembly area.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
