Senior Financial Project Controller at MediaMonks NY


This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted June 9, 2021.

Key task before all else: you monitor and control cost suspense accounts, making sure our estimations are in line with actuals and regularly updating forecasted expectations with information from upgraded agreements/production teams You will analyse cost account specifications and provide full specifications for month, quarter and yearly closings, as well as making corrections via journal entries Cash reigns supreme, so you’ll oversee project related Accounts Receivables from a higher level perspective, making sure we have all the cash in the bank and assist the AR team when needed.

You will work with our Production teams to make sure they have the assistance they need to plan out and manage their project’s cash flow You assist in monthly Work In Progress Revenue Recognition analysis, providing insight into project completion and a comprehensive analysis on revenue recognition You’ll manage project financial overviews between sales and production, which keep track of a project’s profitability and cash flow on a weekly basis You’re a financial PI: this will be needed to be sure management understands where a project stands from a financial and liability perspective, always keeping documented track of the information you’re collecting.

Sometimes acting as a partner to our Legal team, sometimes reviewing MSA’s and SOW’s checking payment terms and liability flags, making sure the agreements make the most sense for deliverable expectations and cash flow needed to meet delivery expectations Together with the regional Finance team, you will help assure all our T’s are crossed and I’s are dotted for projects, so we can continue doing all the epic things together

Bachelor’s Degree level of thinking and working level; Associate’s Degrees accepted based on additional experience A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar level/role and industry; 5 to 6 years minimum experience in similar role required if not in media/advertising, but in Sr.

financial administration and/or project/financial controlling Fluent in English, verbal and written is required; additional languages are a bonus!

Full knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Google Suite is required Full knowledge of Exact Globe preferred or similar financial system is preferred Experience with pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, VLookup are required Experience managing cost accruals is required Experience making journal entries is required Understanding of GAAP is required Great attention to detail is key for this role Flexibility: No rigid nine-to-five mentality and able to switch between tasks at any moment
